Arkon update and cover reveal

Look at it!!! I first got the idea for Tarot Kings in 2018 when I visited Venice for the first time. I actually wrote a plot outline down for Arkon’s story as the first book in the series, only to realise it was actually the fourth lol. So when I say I have waited five years to write it, you better believe it. I have had the best fun with this one, and as Fate does like to play circular games with me, I wrote a hefty chunk when I was in Venice this year as well. The first draft is done and with any luck it will be out in January next year.

Okay, here is a blurb for Arkon!

Arkon, the Grand Sorcerer of Venice, grapples with two unyielding foes: duty and the enigmatic Wolf Mage. Unfortunately, he can’t escape either while the war with the Varangians continues to tear Europe apart.

Zarya Verasha, once loyal to the Emperor until his betrayal, seeks vengeance. Armed with a list of six names, she wants Arkon’s aid to dismantle them and end the war’s ceaseless turmoil.

The Varangians have fashioned formidable war mages from the essence of magical captives, demanding the combined might of Arkon and Zarya to stop them. As Fate weaves them closer together, Arkon and Zarya will discover unexpected similarities, forcing them both to question their perceptions of each other and themselves.

I have had a few people ask if the series will continue and the answer will always be, ‘Yes, if you guys still want more.’ This is the last of the ‘ Kings’ books but you know, there are 78 cards in a Tarot deck, so the possibilities are endless. I have laid in some clues for possible books in the future amongst the cast of crazy characters too. My goal around the ‘Tarot Kings’ world was to make a place I could drop into at any time with a stand alone story, and that hasn’t changed. I love these guys and the world way too much to let it go.

In saying that, stay tuned because I will be launching a whole new world next year and I’m giddy over it (yes, I’m on my Byzantine nonsense again. You will love it.)

That’s all from me! I hope you all have a safe and calm holiday period (yeah, I’m laughing at the calm part too).
