I’m back! (well, kind of)

Hey Everyone,

It’s been a hot second since my last post. The last few months have been a blur of grief, confusion, and so much end-of-life admin that I’ve been walking about cross-eyed. I haven’t had a lot of spare brain for writing-related things, but with the spring finally springing here in Melbourne, I’m starting to pick up the pen again.

When I can’t write, I usually try to fill my brain and my internal creative well with non-fiction goodness. I’ve been listening to and enjoying Bettany Hughes’s ‘Helen of Troy.’ For those who have been around a while, I love Bettany. There’s something about her voice in audio that calms my nervous system. I have been reading ‘Goddesses’ by Joseph Campbell again because I love it and I’ve started ‘Binding Passions: Tales of Magic, Marriage and Power at the End of the Renaissance’ by Guido Ruggiero that is about the Inquisition trials in Venice. Because, Venice is never ever going to let me go, and I’ve been thinking about Tarot Kings and Gio especially in the last few months.

I have also started quietly releasing series boxsets with discreet covers, and I have updated the ‘Wolf of the Sands’ cover with something thats more in line with current trends.

So far, I have released this one for ‘The Blood Lake Chronicles.’

And I have also released this one for ‘The Tarot Kings.’

I’m in love with both of them so much! The box sets are on a launch sale too, for only $5.99, so grab them while they are cheap. I have one for ‘The Magicians of Venice’ up next. Like the ‘Tarot Kings’ one, it’s very gold and very Venice.

I’m going to try to go back to posting here once a month to let you know what I am up to. I’m tinkering with a bunch of ideas that I hope to be able to share more about soon. It feels good to be writing again after months of grief-induced brain fog. I’m still shaky around the edges, and I have to keep reminding myself that all words are good words.

That’s all from me, hopefully next update I’ll be able to give you some news about writing-shaped things.
