Some of you have probably been wondering where the fuck I have been all year, and that’s valid. I’ve been in the word mines and the legal mines and I have good news on both fronts!
First and foremost…I have all of my book rights back! Here is some official wording for you.
” As of May 15, 2024, I will be independently re-publishing my series “The Magicians of Venice” and “The Firebird Faerie Tales.” This was a mutual agreed upon decision between BHC Press and myself and I am looking forward to the new adventures to come.”
SO. What does it all mean?
Well, for starters, I’m about to start Rapid Releasing all of my backlist over the next few months…all eleven fucking books, one after the other, until they are out. That includes all the ‘The Blood Lake Chronicles’ which have been off sale since the Before Times (2019). No more waiting on any of it. All out. All one after the other. As soon as my designer and editor are done, it will be uploaded and I will tell everyone about it.
I’m changing the series name, the covers, doing a fresh edit etc. The series names I’m changing because I’m planning on doing fun new things in the worlds and opening them up. For example, I’m changing ‘The Magicians of Venice’ to ‘The Immortals of Atlantis’ because I’m going to take it worldwide and into different time periods. I’m so freaking excited I just about levitate when I think about it.
A note on Audiobooks – The current versions will remain up because I inherited them as a part of the deal. They might differ a little to the new ebooks and paperbacks because they will be the old trad versions. I will be updating the covers but that’s about it.
I’m already exhausted because I’ve been at this since February, but so damn excited at the same time. Because of all of this, I’m pushing back the release of the ‘Byzantine Book’ until probably Christmas or New Year. It sucks not to release it, but I don’t want to be trying to release a new series in between getting my back list out again. Believe me, it’s going to be worth the wait.
I’m really excited about the future books. As I said above, I’m thinking about all the Magicians content I’ve been dreaming about for years, as well as a lot of other fun stuff. I’m thrilled to have Alexis, Anya, Merlin and all the family back again. Expect lots of sexy cover reveals in your near future because it’s ALL HAPPENING.
Thank you to everyone who has been with me on this crazy journey to trad publishing land and back again. I feel very much like a disorientated Bilbo Baggins returning home from a long journey and in desperate need of a pipe and a quiet garden to sit in for a while.
To kick things off, I am going to start with “The Immortal City” (of course) on the 24th of May (next week!) and there is a pre-order up on it!
